I am a Professor in Banking from University of Bristol and I would like to give you some of my advice. I suggest you go to Cardiff because this is a big city where there are many respectable professors with high profile and very good facilities and support for research. Essex is good for pure economics but not for banking and finance. Loughborough is so so, a very new university with a short history. It is located in a rural area that I think you will feel bored if study there.

I would recommend you do logistic management. Very few people venture into that area which means that opportunity for employment would be high.

2
As you cannot spell Logistics, business and management might be a safer bet.

3
select first one because it will cover business and finance ( and check you intrest too) kia samjhay ;)

4
Business and finance.

Business and Finance gives you more options, making you more employable in a wider range of business activities. Logistic and supply chain is certainly more specific, and, if you are certain that there are such specific positions available, would give you an edge up in this field. You should do a bit more homework, and decide which option is best for you. All things being equal, I'd go for Business and Finance.

Will paying £20k+ for an MSc from an excellent University make it worthwhile

Will paying £20k+ for an MSc from an excellent University make it worthwhile?
i have a first class IT bachelors degree, and work in a software house that makes Asset management Software. I just got a raise and am now earning £30k. Do you think it's worthwhile spending £20k+ on a part-time Masters degree (say, in Finance?) from a TOP university. Will it truly add value and could i get a return on that investment in a reasonable period?

If it's a well respected finance program, and you plan to go into finance, then yes, it may be worth it. Positions in finance, at the big investment banks, pay WAY more than you are currently making. In the US - it's different in the UK - in the US, you'd make a base salary of about $80,000, with a bonus potential of $120,000+ per year. That'd be about £40k base, £60k bonus. But not all finance jobs are those finance jobs. What do you hope to do with that degree? Research the possibilities in the particular aspect of finance that you hope to enter, and you'll then have a better idea on whether that degree is worth it.

Is University of Birmingham a good school?
I'm considering the Birmingham Business School for graduate studies, probably an MBA or an MSc in accounting, tax or finance. Is it a good school? I couldn't find a ranking anywhere.

Civil Engineering BA then Msc in Management

Civil Engineering BA then Msc in Management?
My bro graduated with an undergrad in Civil and now he hates it and wants to go into finance/management... Do you think this is a wise career move? Will such a candidate find jobs more easily/ more difficultly?

Your "bro" needs to understand one thing: 1) An MSc in Management is for people who want to be college or university lecturers AND for those who want a PhD in Management to be a professor. Period. 2) To be successful in the business world, he NEEDS an MBA. An MSc will not cut it. I am the Hiring Manager for a corporation - I see hundreds of resumes EACH DAY on my desk of people with MSc degrees in Management. These people's resumes are not even considered. I will only consider those with MBA degrees. Period.
